Discipleship Training School
I see waves of young people … going out as missionaries!

WHAT IS A DTS?
A Discipleship Training School (DTS) is 5-month program focused on personal transformation and spiritual growth!
DTS is a live-in discipleship program comprised of two parts: Lecture Phase and Outreach Phase.
During Lecture Phase, students will be immersed in classroom teaching, community living, personal processing, and practical applications. In the Outreach Phase, we step into cross-cultural settings to serve and love others, with a focus on making disciples.

Check out the answers to commonly asked questions below:
1What should I expect when I come to DTS?
Come ready to enter into a season of growth and discovery alongside a community who will encourage, challenge, and strengthen you. Prepare to go deep inward and reach far outward as we discover God’s heart for each of us, and for the nations!
2What do we expect from students?
We expect you to come ready to learn, grow, take on challenges and risks, and have a growing desire to reach others with God’s love.
3Where will I be staying?
DTS students are housed in Big House, a beautifully crafted cabin with lots of original hippie charm from when it was first built in the 70’s. Guys and girls will be staying in separate rooms and will have a designated bathroom for each gender.
4How far is YWAM Mendocino Coast from the ocean?
We are nestled in the Redwoods 3 miles up the road from the Pacific Coast Highway (PCT). There are spectacular ocean views as you drive along the PCT, and the nearest beach is about a 10 minute drive away!
5What should I bring to DTS?
Plan to pack the essentials, including clothing, shoes, toiletries, and your Bible. Bedding and towels are provided.
6Can international students apply to DTS?
Yes! YWAM is an international missions movement, and we welcome anyone from any country to be apart of our DTS. For more information on visa requirements, send us an email, personnel@lordsland.org.
7What will meals look like?
We serve home cooked meals that incorporate a variety of flavors and cultures. Our goal in our kitchen is to make food that tastes good and is good for you. During outreaches, you will have the opportunity to expand you palate and eat local foods!
8Do you accommodate food allergies?
We do our best to separate food for those who are gluten free, dairy free, and vegetarian. If you have any other food concerns, please reach out to us and we will let you know if we can accommodate your allergy!
