Trailblazers DTS

The Trailblazers DTS (Discipleship Training School) offers three months of training followed by a two-month overseas outreach. This DTS will include elements of trekking and adventure as we take the classroom into creation and challenge our personal limits, both physical and spiritual. Join us as we draw close to Jesus, discover personal freedom, and reach the hardest and darkest places with the gospel.

…then Discipleship Training School (DTS) is for you. The five-month Trailblazers DTS will help you develop a dynamic love relationship with Jesus, and increase your desire to obey Christ’s last command, “Go and make disciples of all nations…” (Matt. 28:19).
DTS emphasizes heart transformation and personal development, not the accumulation of knowledge. It’s a journey to discover the heart of God, learn His ways, and actually walk in His power and love.
DTS is an intense, seven-day-a-week, spiritual ‘boot camp’ designed to equip you to be a change-agent in your world! DTS is the prerequisite for long-term participation in Youth With A Mission. The Trailblazers DTS blends together trekking & adventure with life-on-life discipleship, providing the perfect opportunity to embark on a discovery experience that will grow you physically and spiritually. With your simple “Yes,” the Lord will lead you in the ultimate adventure of knowing Him and making Him known!

TREKKING & ADVENTURE FOCUS
The Trailblazers DTS is for people who love the outdoors, enjoy physical activity, and desire to push their limits. We will be engaging in activities such as hiking, backpacking, and camping, that will accompany a process of deep discipleship. YWAM Mendocino Coast resides among ancient redwood groves and is located along the spectacular Mendocino Coast, a region that includes premier backpacking trails like the John Muir Trail, the Pacific Crest Trail, the Lost Coast, and many others. Tie up your boots, and let’s hit the trails!
*Previous outdoor experience is not required, although we are looking for applicants who are willing to be challenged!
OUTREACH
Following the lecture phase, students and staff head overseas for a 2-month missions practicum. The outreach phase is a cross-cultural adventure in which you’ll encounter the needs of the world and respond with the love and power of God.
FOR THE PIONEERS
The Holy Spirit will be our guide as we carve new paths in our relationship with God, invite Him to uncover hidden areas of our identity, and advance the gospel in hard to access places. Our comfort zones will be stretched and our faith will be strengthened as we embark on this journey together!
