Jesus linked the Great Commission to miraculous demonstrations of God’s goodness and power.
Physical healing, deliverance from demonic oppression, prophetic insight, and other works of the Spirit are essential to completing the unfinished task of world evangelization. (Mark 16:15-20; Acts 1:8)
YWAM was birthed as a movement dependent on God’s supernatural intervention. Our history is full of stories of supernatural guidance and miraculous provision. Most of our lives were reshaped through powerful moves of the Spirit during DTS and other schools or events. The challenges and opportunities we face as a mission call for a miraculous lifestyle and a supernatural anointing as never before.
During the SSM we will be looking at supernatural ministry through the lens of the great commandment (love), and the great commission–taking the “Gospel of the Kingdom” to the darkest places on earth. You will learn directly from visiting teachers who are experiencing the power of God in their ministries. Veteran missionaries on staff will coach you in applying principles of supernatural ministry to the context of cross-cultural missions.
“By the power of signs and wonders, by the power of the Spirit of God… I have fully preached the Gospel of Christ” Romans 15:19
Our schedule will include regular times of prayer and intercession. In addition to our morning prayer and worship times we will take shifts in the prayer room to stand in the gap for our region, the nations and any special emphasis the Lord is highlighting to us. We’ll also have frequent times of worship and adoration, expressing our love to Him and enjoying His Presence. From this place of intimacy signs and wonders naturally flow.
The SSM is designed to serve those in our mission who are hungry for more of the supernatural work of God, both in their relationship with Him and in their ministry. This school was born out of our quest to know God experientially and to make Him known in all His goodness and power. Our community places a high value on creative worship, contending prayer, and strategic engagement in reaching the unreached. These values shape the culture of the SSM.
Anyone who has completed a DTS is welcome to apply. We are especially eager to include those working on the front lines among unreached people groups, or candidates headed in that direction. We’ve also designed this program to be a good option for front-liners on furlough. The SSM is a time of refreshment and renewal, with opportunities for personal ministry. Our setting, an idyllic retreat on the spectacular Mendocino Coast of Northern California, is a wonderful place to restore your soul. We are a pro-family community and the Lord’s Land is a kid-friendly environment.
Nathan and Cindi who are hosting this school have years of experience working in missions in a restricted access nation as well as a continual pursuit to see God move supernaturally. I am always challenged in my thinking, in my spiritual life and in my ministry whenever I am around them. Beyond that the school is located in Mendocino on the Lord’s Land which has a history of supernatural visitations! This is a school you won’t want to miss… — Tim Svoboda, YWAM San Francisco
We’re not looking for experts. If you’re willing to wrestle with Scriptures, allowing them to renew your mind and alter your experience, the SSM offers a workshop for learning and growing in God’s grace and power. If you are hungry enough to be humble, and you’re willing to experiment, and even risk making mistakes, this school is for you.
Jon and Kathy Graciano
Jon and Kathy Graciano and the team from Freedom River Outreach. The Gracianos have pioneered a church among the homeless of Tacoma. It’s an exciting model, and at the heart of it is an approach to prophetic prayer ministry that they’ll be teaching us.
Pastor Dave Bryan and team from Glad Tidings Church of Yuba City. Pastor Dave teaches widely on spiritual warfare and deliverance ministry, and his team are experienced practitioners. Dave’s teaching is exciting, Biblical, and practical.
Paul Martini from Global Awakening. Global Awakening, led by Randy Clark, is perhaps the world’s leading healing ministry. Paul works closely with Randy in training seminars and short-term missions outreaches. We’ve invited Paul to bring teaching and impartation to equip us for supernatural ministry in physical healing.
Ryan Aitkin and a team from Bethel Church in Redding, CA. Ryan is a leader in the Healing Rooms Ministry at Bethel Church. We’ve learned a lot from Ryan and Bethel’s wonderful approach to ministry in the Presence of God. Ryan and his team will share on a variety of topics, including Healing Rooms Ministry.
Brad Webster and a team from Bethel Church, Redding. Brad brought a team to the Lord’s Land several years ago, and we were impressed with the clarity, accuracy, and balance of his prophetic ministry. Since then, Brad has done a great job in teaching us about prophetic ministry, and helping us step out in the prophetic through a practical workshop approach.
