Building Project
Finishing the Ball Room
If you’ve seen our Building Project updates, you’re familiar with this project. For a very long time, the Lord’s Land has desperately needed a meeting room. So last spring, we went to work, demolishing the old laundry room and constructing a room big enough to accommodate large groups.
In December, construction of “The Ball Room” (named for Sabine Ball of course, and for the celebratory spirit we hope always exudes from within its walls) stalled due to lack of funds and labor. That didn’t stop us from using the building for countless seminars and gatherings. Since that time, we have added windows and doors, but the rest of the building remains unfinished. We need to add flooring, insulation, sheetrock and siding. Those are the big steps. We also need to build a hearth for the woodstove, a front deck, and work on the interior.
We will continue to use the building in its unfinished state. But boy, we would love to get it finished!
Does this project pique your interest? Do you have the skills and the willingness to help us finish the Ball Room once and for all? If so, download an application today, or call our office at (707) 937-5700. Ask for Todd or Nathan.

Mid January Building Update
The DTS has left for outreach and the work on the Meeting Hall has slowed to a crawl.
But, It Has been Named! It is the “Ball Room” named after the Lord’s Land founder and missionary to Germany, Sabine Ball.
The windows have been purchased and we are awaiting delivery.
Please continue to pray for God’s provision to finish this building.

Late October Building Update!
Things are coming along really well. Yeah, we’re behind schedule, but that’s okay because it’s looking terrific.
The Yet Un-Named Meeting Room
As you can see, there’s a roof on, and our walls are wrapped and ready for doors and windows. Inside, we’ll be installing a large woodstove with a lovely hearth, and our walls will combine sheet rock and paneling. Throw in some lights wiring, lights, and furniture and… I think we’ve got a building! Now if they’d just deliver those windows…
Storage Shed
Doug and the gang from Salinas helped us finish up the storage shed, and it looks fantastic! Thanks gang!
Welcome Cabin 2.0
It’s hard to even remember the old trailer that used to comprise the back half of Welcome Cabin. Of course, most of that area is taken up by our new laundry room. And now, we’re happy to report that the east side of the building is now ready for, uh, welcoming. And working. And staff meetings. Yes, Welcome Cabin 2.0 is a fine upgrade.

Project Update – Early September
Ye Ole Laundry Room
Rumor has it the laundry room supposed to provide shelter for just one winter. More than 30 years later, the building barely hung together. The main support beams were rotted, and roof barely hung together by clusters of nails. Here’s what it looked like three months ago:
It was an unsafe structure, and we felt it was time for this “temporary” structure to be replaced. The new structure is being built on the same footprint as the old one with Lord’s Land Lumber. This building will be used as a common room for our training schools, and sometimes for guests who rent Big House. We’ve got a long way to go, but boy, we’ve come a long way!
Welcome cabin (The New Laundry Room)
It was Matt Yaeger’s lifetime ambition: to remove that horrendous eyesore that was the trailer addition to Welcome Cabin. Well, in late March, he finally got to do it! Since then, we framed in a new laundry room under the very same roof that covered the trailer. Boy, it looks great!
There is room left over behind Welcome Cabin that will soon become office space and a legitimate welcome center. We’re almost done with this stage:
The New Storage Shed
We lost our shed during our big January storm, so we’re putting up another one that’s about the same size. Unfortunately, we didn’t get pictures of the old monstrosity, but we can give you an update on the new one:
YOU CAN HELP!
Do you have carpentry skills, some open space in your schedule, and a heart to serve? We would love some help! If you’d like to lend a hand, we would love to have you! Or maybe you’d like to help out financially to see this project through to the end… Either way, we are so grateful for any help you can give!
